textile mix / vintage floral tapestry + faux fur

December 29, 2012

The Fashionista has a great post about this campaign - you should check it out - plus it has more pictures
Since I've started doing DIY, I've compiled a list of projects that I want to complete. So far, it's made up of tufting headboard (check), reupholstering a chair and revamping vintage clothes. Since sewing is a big part of the two items still on my list, I have been dying to learn how to sew. I got a sewing machine for Christmas and after seeing this outfit from Rag & Bone's FW 2012 campaign of Kate Moss by photographer, Craig McDean, the revamping vintage clothes has jumped up to the top spot on my DIY to do list.

I love the mix of faux fur with the vintage floral sleeves, and its got me excited to go thrifting once I'm back in New York. If anyone has any recommendations on great thrifting shops - please comment them below!

1. Sparkle and Fade Silky Printed Bomber Jacket - **SAVE** - $29.99 at urban outfitters

  2. Fur and leather is the usual combination that I see, so I have to agree with you about loving the vintage sleeves. I’d like to see a version of this using a white fur with floral sleeves for a softer look. Were you able to make this DIY project or is it on hold until the cold weather comes back?

    1. I didn't get my act together in time for the cold weather (fingers crossed it doesn't come back to NYC), but I love your idea of mixing white and floral!
