What was the last item you knew on the spot you had to have?

January 29, 2013

It's been a long time since I let myself make an impulse buy, but I will say I highly recommend it.

Today was one of those days where you crank through a few cups of coffee, scarf your lunch in 5 mins, and then all of the sudden it's 7PM and you're asking where did today go?? On these days, I say - online shop (as if you need another excuse).

I saw this camo jacket on Pinterest, and immediately called the 5th Ave Free People store to see if I could pick it up tonight. Am I a marketer's dream or what!?! Check, they had it in stock and on hold before it even hit their floor = instant mood booster.

And as my co-worked would say "forget chicken soup for the soul, fashion for the soul."

trend spot / chambre & sequins

With fashion week underway, I guess I should take a break my from room redo obsession...sigh...and share some trends for Fall. I really love the mix I've seen with chambre and sequins and shoes with leather straps.

You'll find a lot of bright colors, patterns and styles. Here are some of my favorites from in store (noted which ones they had as of 5/27) and the catalog.

I paired the pink Miles of Lace dress with the Olivia necklace (#1) from Lauren Elan. Here are some of my other favorites from her collection.

Weekend Wrap Up // Shopping & Derby Days

May 07, 2012

This weekend I checked out the news stores on Atlanta's Westside. Since I've been obsessed with Free People for years, I am beyond excited that they have opened up shop in Atlanta! The same goes for the new Lululemon store that has opened up right around the corner. I love their gear for yoga.

Also this weekend I went to the Shepard Spinal Center's 30th Annual Derby Day. The outdoor party raises money for the spinal center and focuses the day around watching the Kentucky Derby - win, win! We had a great time betting and dressing the part.

 1. The new Free People on the Westside next to Ormsbys
2. Chevron bedskirt and gold/cream benches at Gramercy at Peachtree Battle Shopping Center
3. New Lululemon Athletica, coming soon to the Westside near Perrine's Wine
4. Derby hat selection at my mom's house - can you tell she's from Louisville?
5. Our Derby bets aka what turned out to be Shepard Spinal Center donations
6. The 30th Annual Shepard Spinal Center Derby Day
