I saw these neon yellow shoes this week and knew I had to include them in a post this week. Freckles and yellow can be a hard combination, so keeping the bright yellow color as far away from my freckled complexion is a must. These shoes are so much fun for summer and could totally be paired with bold colors and prints. Since today is also the start of Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale, I had to include some of my favorites from there as well. Shop my all of my Nordstrom picks here.

This weekend, CT and I have a ton of projects on the docket it's going to be hard to decide which one to do. Fingers crossed my closet project wins out.

You may remember hearing of Kate Upton last year when pretty much every guy you knew was ogling over her on the cover of Sports Illustrated. From a girl's perspective, she looked like every other topless blonde I had seen adorning the cover. 

And then she was on the cover of Vogue...

Have you and your friends ever joked about the difference in dressing for girls versus boys? 

Let me fill you in, trending rompers = dressing for girls, bodycon dresses = dressing for boys. 

Ok, now that you're caught up Kate Upton some how managed to pull off a look for both men and women in a way that feels very Marilyn Monroe. 

Man, Vogue is good.

I'm obsessing over her blonde bob and faded frames for summer. 

I don't think I can pull off as short as her bob is, but I love this shoulder length blonde blunt cut for summer.

inspiration junky #7 // style, decor, beauty

After last week's inspiration junky about bettering yourself through exercise and cooking, this week is due for a style and beauty update. I am loving that the leather trend is sticking around for Fall 2013. Two seasons gives me the justification I need to invest in a leather jacket or skirt. Unusual chandeliers and greek key accents made the top of my decor list this week.

Also, had to shout out to Blake Lively (despite our near break up when she married Ryan Reynolds at Boone Plantation). I am huge fan of the fuchsia lip color she wears. Finally a bright lip color I feel like I can pull off as a blonde!

Make Up Bag Refresh!

I'm the classic offender of holding on to make up for far too long. So with Fall here, I'm doing a make up bag cleanse and refreshing with new looks for the season.

Make Up Bag Cleanse 101:

1. Most sites say you can keep make up products for about 18 months, but I think it's best to live by the policy of - if you can't remember when you bought it - toss it
2. Wash your brushes! It's suggested that this is done every 2-3 weeks. I think every month is fine. I love Bobbi Browns' Conditioning Brush Cleanser.
3. Refresh your mascara every 3 months - This one is a must because let's be serious, eye infections are not cool. 
4. Don't forget to clean your bag too.
5. Replenish!
