With May only a few days away, that means beach and pool season is about to hit in Atlanta. We don't really get spring like other cities, and instead get a few nice days of 70 and sunny until we hit heat. And I mean hot until...um..October? Which means, there are A LOT of months for beach and pool side drinking.
I am a huge fan of a pina colada, strawberry daiquiri, anything with run and a tropical juice, and have been known to get talked into Flip Flops on Crescent Avenue for such. This skinny sangria recipe has got to be the best drink to get your tropical warm weather beverage fix without knocking on the calories to your beach body.
1 bottle Sauvignon Blanc (choose whatever brand you prefer - I just normally go with whatever is chilled and the cheapest)
1 bottle Prosecco (same here)
1 tablespoon agave nectar
Rinse fruit and cut into desired slices. Mix fruit with 3/4 of the Sauvignon Blanc bottle in a pitcher. Let fruit and Sauvignon Blanc sit for 15 mins in the refrigerator. Add 3/4 the bottle of Prosecco and 1 tablespoon of Agave Nectar and stir. Let Sangria chill in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes or longer.
